Blue Salmon Brahma Hen side

Brahmas are often lovingly referred to as gentle giants, and for good reason. With their impressive size, feathered legs, and calm demeanor, they make a wonderful addition to both backyard and family flocks. While Brahmas are slow to mature, they are well worth the wait. These birds are exceptionally sweet, docile, and personable, and they are especially great with children—often happy to be hand-fed a bit of scratch and interact calmly with their keepers.

Brahma hens lay a pinkish to light tan egg and are known for being steady, cold-hardy layers, particularly valuable in cooler seasons. Their gentle nature and striking presence make them a true joy to have on the farm.

We have kept Brahmas for many years and are especially excited to offer the ultra-rare Blue Salmon coloration this season. Our birds trace back to stock originally imported from Turkey, making this color variety both uncommon and genetically interesting. The Blue Salmon color is influenced by the Blue Andalusian gene, which means this breeding can naturally produce three color outcomes: Blue Salmon, Salmon (black-based), and Splash Salmon chicks.

We are currently in the process of carefully building this flock, so hatching eggs will be offered in very limited quantities. These Blue Salmon Brahmas are a truly special opportunity for those looking to add a rare color, gentle temperament, and impressive presence to their flock.
