SHIPPING & DELIVERY

Hatching Egg Shipping Policy

All our eggs are fresh and collected daily and are shipped unwashed (unless specified otherwise). Please do not ask to have specific variations collected in your order (ie. all heavy bloom "pink" eggs). Eggs are shipped as laid, and variation in colors depends on the individual hen that laid it. We ship hundreds of orders yearly, and getting eggs out promptly is our priority.

Your eggs will be laid the same day as purchased (or the day before, depending on time of purchase). Our eggs are packaged with care and put into a carton, then packed in bubble wrap and put into a shipping box with shredded material. We mark all boxes “Fragile” unless specified otherwise. 

We ship Monday - Wednesday.  Eggs are shipped via Priority Mail and typically take 2-5 business days. Please plan your incubation accordingly.  Eggs are good to incubate up to 14 days old in case of a delay in delivery. Once the eggs leave our hands we can not be held responsible for the time or manner in which they are treated.  Our packages are insured; if any damage occurs during shipping please message us pictures of the box and pictures of the damaged eggs and we can help you file a claim. 

We do recommend putting a “Hold for Pickup” on your shipment. This will likely avoid the bumping and jostling that may occur on your regular mail route. The Post Office will call you upon arrival and you can then pick up your eggs and transport them safely.

 

**If you wish for your order to be held for pick up at the Post Office, please indicate so in the checkout instructions along with your phone number.***

Please be advised that USPS can take longer than anticipated. Just because the estimated time for your delivery has passed, it does not mean your eggs cannot be incubated. If for some reason your eggs are in transit longer than 10 days, please contact us and we will help you. Hatching Egg Return & Refund Policy

When purchasing hatching eggs from us, you agree to the following: Because of the nature in which eggs are shipped, we cannot guarantee hatch rates or predict the success of your hatch due to multiple factors (shipping, handling of packaging, etc.). Please purchase only if you are willing to assume the risk of shipped eggs, as refunds will not be given.  Please understand we do the most on our end to provide great genetics, healthy parentage, strong intact eggs, and good packaging at the time they are shipped. However, there are assumed risks when buying shipped hatching eggs, if you are not comfortable with that risk, it would be better to purchase live chicks (which are available in the Spring and sometimes in the Fall, local sales only.)

 

Please understand we are unable to guarantee your hatch rate; too many factors outside of our control can contribute to a poor hatch rates (poor handling, improper incubation methods etc.) We have been doing this with precision for over 2 decades and have many satisfied customers!
